7 Ways to Gather Links to Your Blog
If you’ve been studying search engine optimization for some time now, we all know that one of the major factors that influence your ranking are links. While it does take hard to get good quality links, you’re going to find that there are so many ways that you can get them. I wanted to create a simple, little guide that can help you get the links that you want.
Guest post for others
You can do what I’m doing, and that is by guest posting for other blogs. Find blogs in your niche, and ask them if they accept articles. Be sure to write them something unique, as well as interesting, or you will find that they will deny you.
E-mail resources
If you have a truly good resource, emailing places such as Universities, as well as libraries have worked great for me. Keep in mind that they only link out to good websites, so if you have a one page wonder, don’t count on getting that link.
Use HARO
HARO is a great, free newsletter that you can join. Each day, they will send out emails to the list. On this list are major media outlets looking for people such as you and I. This is a great way to get published in major publications such as the New York Times, and more.
Create an Infographics
I’m not sure if you’ve seen these before, but they are basically colorful graphics that showcase a particular stat. At the bottom link to your site, and let bloggers know about it. If it’s good enough, it will go viral!
Take advantage of video
So many websites aren’t taking advantage of video, and there are so many topics that you can attack. What you’re going to want to do is use YouTube, as well as other resources to showcase your skills, as well as promote your site. Be sure to watermark your URL on the video, so that if people do share it, it will show up.
Answer questions
Sites such as Yahoo! Answers, Answers.com, as well as others are a great place to leave your answer on questions that are related to your site. Be sure to leave informative answers, as spammy answers / accounts get deleted rather quickly.
Join blog carnivals
Blog carnivals are a great place to submit your best work to other blogs. What they will do is have “themed” carnivals, where you can get your works published on their blog. They simply link out to your blog, as well as article. It’s a great way to get deep links.
I hope there are more smart ways out there to create back link for your blog, If you have using any other ways, Do share here in the form of comments.
