Samsung Galaxy Grand With 5 Inch Screen & 1.2 GHz Dual Core Processor Made Official
After so many leaked specifications and rumours, the Galaxy Grand is now officially announced by Samsung. However the phone doesn’t live up to its ‘Grand’ name as the 5 inch screen used in this phone will be of lowly 800 x 480 resolution. Other than that, the phone resembles very much to the Samsung Galaxy S2 as it has a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor but the model number or name is not known yet. The Samsung Galaxy Grand price in India might be a bit higher than the Samsung Galaxy S2. It comes with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage space which can be expanded using a micro SD card slot.
The phone will come in single SIM as well as the dual SIM versions as well. The design of the phone strongly resembles to the Samsung Galaxy S3 in spite of its internals resembling to Galaxy S2. This might be Samsung’s solution to the recent ban on some of the Samsung smartphones in the US after the Apple injunction. The phone will come with Android 4.1.2 pre-installed along with the TouchWiz Nature UX. It has 8 MP autofocus camera at the back with LED flash and full HD 1080p video recording while the secondary camera at the front has a 2 MP sensor for video calls and self-portraits. On the connectivity side, it has 21 Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi n, Bluetooth 4.0, 3.5 mm audio jack and Micro USB port. It is 9.6 mm thin and weighs around 162 grams.
The dual SIM version of this phone will reportedly be called as Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos i9082. The Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos price in India will be just higher than the single SIM version.
